Tributes

  1. On behalf of Tennis Heritage Australia our belated thoughts on the passing of Zenda. We care fondly about the tennis career of John and behind every player is a devoted and hard working wife raising kids while tennis tours take dad around the world, often for months. All the best to the family.

  2. My sincere sympathy is with the Bromwich family at this sad time.
My late husband Hamish, who was the President of Tennis Victoria (1996-2004) and I enjoyed a friendship with John and Zenda especially at Point Lonsdale.
Zenda was a lovely and friendly lady and in the latter years I often had a chat with Zenda after one of her coffee mornings at Lonnie!
My thoughts are with you all. Claire Macmillan

  3. HI Graham, Robyn, Jenny and your amazing families! That was a fitting and lovely service for Zenda. She was indeed an extraordinary woman of her time, as most women were housewives. I only met her and John and yourselves a few times and it saddens me to think our families are so far apart that we cannot enjoy and participate in each others lives. We have all been blessed to have such wonderful parents, and I can see by your broods that you have also kept that tradition going and are wonderful parents yourselves. Whatever bad genes our families had, it has made up for by the good looking genes….will catch up with some of you eventually, after COVID, God Bless xxxxxxx

  8. It is very sad news to learn of the death of Zenda. She was a long-time, active member of the Committee of Management at 369 Abbotsford St, North Melbourne, only resigning this year. It was a great pleasure to know her and work with her on Committee matters; to admire her long and active life on many fronts; and to enjoy her great personality.
With deep sympathies to her immediate and extended family.

What a wonderful wife to the late great John Bromwich, loving woman and friend. It was always a pleasure to catch up with Zenda at the Australian Open and to invite Zenda and Robyn to the President’s Box. The 2021 AO will not be the same.
