Our cherished and much loved mum slipped peacefully away on Saturday 31st as I held her hand. You held my face and told me not to be sad, you told me I would have many happy times in the future, and I told you it was ok to go, but you held on and held on until Donna arrived and as you left this world you were surround by love from three of your girls. What a privilege it was to care for you at this time.
Your love, strength, determination, fighting spirit, and your beautiful smile that lit up when you saw your family will be with us forever. We are all so sad at the moment, but we are relieved that you are no longer in pain and we will try to live with happiness in the future. Fly free mum and we will feel your shining light is walking with us all.
As we learn to live with a changed family unit, we will try to live by the lessons you taught us and hope to continue to make you proud, and will all try to follow your love of bright colours.
What an inspiration you have been to all of us and what a legacy you leave behind. 98 years lived to the full. Rest peacefully now my beautiful Mum.

Mum I don’t know where to start. 98 years of a life well lived. We all thought you would always be here, your unending love, support, guidance, stubborn independence that always shined through has finely faded but we are happy that there is no more pain on your weary body. Together again with Dad, he has been waiting a long time. We will all miss you more than words can say, no more phone or video calls with us telling each other we loved each other more, you telling me I’m your baby girl.
Much loved and adored Mum of Donna and Adam. Cherished and so dearly loved Nanny of Joel, Thomas and Kody.
Forever in our hearts, your beautiful smile will be with us always and we know you will forever be near.
